Rutland

Rutland wind generators, built by Marlec Engineering in the UK, have been charging batteries on cruising yachts for decades. eMarine carries the Rutland 913 (12V and 24V) and Mariners packages with HRSi or HRDi controller, the Rutland 914i with built-in MPPT, the Rutland 1200 with hybrid MPPT charge controller, the compact Rutland 504 and 505 Windcharger, and Furlmatic FM910 and FM1803 turbines for land, plus blades, nose cones, brushes, bearings, controllers, masts and mounting kits.

How to choose a Rutland wind generator

  • 913 vs 914i: the 914i adds a built-in MPPT for better low-wind output; the 913 pairs with an HRSi or HRDi controller.
  • 1200: the largest marine Rutland, supplied with a hybrid wind/solar controller.
  • 504: a compact turbine for trickle charging and smaller boats.
  • Mounting: add a Rutland mounting kit or mast and stay kit.

Is the Rutland 913 wind generator still available?

Yes, in 12V and 24V and as Mariners packages. Spare parts for older 913 units are also listed.

Who makes Rutland turbines?
