Silent Running

Silent Running SR1000 is a sound and vibration damping coating used in boat engine rooms, hulls, lockers and RVs. It is applied by brush, roller or spray to reduce drumming and engine noise transmitted through panels. eMarine carries SR1000 in 1 quart, 1 gallon and 5 gallon containers, and the Silent Running SR1000 spray kit.

How much coating do you need?

Measure the surface area you want to treat and check the coverage stated on the product page for the recommended thickness. Small lockers and panels may need only a quart; engine rooms and hull areas usually need one or more gallons. Clean and degrease surfaces first, and apply in coats as recommended for best adhesion and damping.

Where is SR1000 used on a boat?

Typically in engine rooms, hull sides, lockers and under cabin soles to reduce noise and vibration.
