Recent Project
On a 2023 100-foot Sunseeker, we replaced both engine start battery banks after the original Rolls S12-160AGM-RE batteries were discovered swollen from chronic overvoltage caused by an improperly programmed external charger. The issue first appeared as an insufficient battery charging alarm, and early inspection by the vessel engineer prevented a potentially dangerous failure. Each 24V 340Ah PORT and STBD start bank was rebuilt using upgraded Rolls S12-170AGM-RE batteries, restoring safe and reliable engine starting capacity.
Swollen AGM batteries lose performance and can become hazardous if left in service. After replacement, we verified correct charging behavior and returned the vessel’s twin MTU propulsion start system and dual generators to dependable operation.
Electrical Systems Expertise
Marine power systems require proper planning, wiring, protection, and component compatibility. Batteries, charging sources, inverters, and distribution systems must work together as a complete system. We ensure correct wire sizing, circuit protection, ventilation, mounting, and system configuration to meet safety standards and manufacturer requirements.
Our technicians work with marine electrical systems every day. We understand the unique challenges of vibration, moisture, corrosion, confined spaces, and high-current installations onboard boats.
For more than 20 years, we have been installing marine electrical and renewable energy systems for boat owners and cruising vessels. We began with solar panels, wind turbines, and off-grid power solutions, building deep expertise in energy storage, charging architecture, and system integration.
Over time, our work expanded to include full marine electrical installations, navigation electronics, battery upgrades, inverter systems, and comprehensive refits.
Support for Refits, Upgrades, and Yard Periods
We regularly work alongside boat owners, captains, surveyors, and shipyards during upgrade projects and scheduled maintenance periods. This includes preparing systems for new equipment, integrating third-party components, and resolving compatibility issues between legacy and modern electrical infrastructure.
Our team can assist with planning, component selection, installation, and commissioning so that new equipment operates correctly as part of the vessel’s overall power architecture.
Serving South Florida and Visiting Vessels
We perform installation work throughout Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding marine service areas, including vessels preparing for cruising, seasonal upgrades, or yard periods. Many of our projects involve coordinating with other onboard contractors to ensure systems integrate cleanly across navigation, charging, and distribution equipment.
Trusted Experience Across System Generations
Because we have worked on marine charging and electrical systems for more than two decades, we regularly encounter vessels with mixed equipment from different eras. We understand how to safely integrate modern electronics, lithium batteries, and inverter systems into existing wiring environments without compromising reliability.
This experience is especially valuable during retrofit projects where documentation may be incomplete or systems have evolved over time.
