The Victron MEGA-fuse 100A/32V is a bolt-on, high-current fuse used to protect DC distribution wiring against short circuits and overload faults in battery banks, inverters, and other high-current DC circuits. It is designed to fit Victron's Lynx Distributor, the modular MEGA-fuse holder, and the 6-way MEGA-fuse holder, as well as standard MEGA-fuse blocks from other manufacturers using the same bolt spacing.
At its rated 100A current, the fuse has an approximate voltage drop of 90 mV and a cold resistance of 0.6 mΩ - low enough that it does not meaningfully add to circuit losses in a correctly sized DC system. As with all MEGA-fuses, this is a one-time, non-resettable fuse: once it has opened under a fault condition, the fuse must be physically replaced before the circuit can be restored.
Sold in packs of 5, this fuse rating is part of Victron's wider assortment of MIDI, MEGA, and ANL fuses covering 32V, 58V, and 80V systems from 30A up to 500A, letting the correct fuse be matched to the exact current rating and voltage class of each protected circuit.
Correct fuse placement matters as much as the rating itself: the fuse should sit as close as practical to the battery's positive terminal, sized to protect the cable run rather than the connected device, so that a fault anywhere downstream is cleared before the wiring itself is damaged.
