The Balmar MC-TS-A is a 54-inch alternator temperature sensor for use with Balmar Max Charge and ARS-5 regulators. It lets the regulator react to alternator heat and cut output before damage occurs. It is for boat owners running high-output alternators.
Balmar Alternator Temperature Sensor MC-TS-A 54" length, when use with Max Charge and ARS-5 regulators, alternators, helps increase the system response and protection by enabling regulators to respond to ambient heat conditions.
The Balmar Alternator Temperature Sensor MC-TS-A can monitor the alternator and respond if ambient temperature conditions are detected, reduce the amperage output and horsepower load on the engine and belts, giving the alternator the chance to cool down to normal operating temperatures.

Where does the sensor attach?
Its lug connects to the rear case bolt of the alternator, and its wires go to the regulator's alternator temperature terminals.
