The Rain-Activated Hatch Closer consists of a collapsible hatch support which employs an aspirin to hold it in the extended position. The support hooks over the hatch frame to keep it open. A neoprene O-ring keeps tension on the aspirin so that within seconds of becoming wet the aspirin softens and allows the support to fold. The hatch then falls shut.
