Victron Battery Indicator Eyelet

The Victron Energy Battery Indicator Eyelet M8 is a compact, easy-to-use battery state of charge indicator designed as an accessory for the Blue Smart and Blue Power IP65 charger range. Suitable for 12V lead-acid batteries — including flooded, GEL, and AGM types — it provides an instant visual indication of battery charge level via a three-colour LED, allowing users to assess battery condition at a glance without connecting a charger or battery monitor.

The eyelet connects directly to the positive battery terminal via its M8 eyelet connector, with a 30A ATO blade fuse built into the cable to protect the circuit. A short 0.3-metre cable keeps the indicator close to the battery terminal where it mounts permanently — ideal for installations in engine bays, battery compartments, and under-seat battery locations in cars, boats, motorhomes, and caravans where a fixed, always-visible charge indicator is needed without panel cutout or dashboard installation.

The three-colour LED display provides a clear, graduated indication of battery state of charge: green indicates the battery is well charged at 80–100%, orange indicates the battery can be charged at 60–80%, red indicates the battery needs charging at 40–60%, and no light signals that the battery is critically low below 40% and should be charged immediately to prevent sulfation damage. After use, a settling time of approximately 30 minutes is recommended before reading the indicator to allow the battery to return to its resting voltage for an accurate state of charge reading.

IP65-rated against dust and water splashes, the Battery Indicator Eyelet M8 is built to withstand the damp, dirty environments commonly found in marine bilges, outdoor equipment, and engine compartments. With a back current drain of just 0.9mA, it draws negligible standby current from the battery and can remain permanently connected without causing measurable self-discharge over normal storage and standby periods.
