The Victron Ekrano GX is the most powerful GX communication centre in the Victron product family and the direct successor to the Color Control GX. Combining a complete range of communication interfaces with a built-in waterproof 7-inch touchscreen display in a single slim aluminium enclosure, it serves as the central hub for monitoring, controlling, and optimising any Victron energy system — locally or remotely — from a single device.
The integrated 7-inch touchscreen (1024 × 600 pixels, 1000 cd/m² peak brightness) provides an instant real-time overview of the entire system — battery state of charge, power consumption, solar harvest, generator and mains input, tank levels, and temperature measurements — all accessible at a touch. The display brightness is managed automatically via a built-in ambient light sensor, and a recessed rear button allows the touch function to be locked to prevent unauthorised changes. When installed with the supplied steel bracket, the front panel is rated IP54 and fully watertight.
The Ekrano GX features an extensive set of communication ports: three isolated VE.Direct ports, one isolated VE.Bus port with two paralleled RJ45 sockets, two VE.Can ports (one isolated, one non-isolated), Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth Smart, two USB-A host ports, and a MicroSD card slot. This connectivity enables it to interface with virtually every Victron product as well as a wide and growing range of supported third-party devices, including lithium battery manufacturers, PV inverters, and NMEA 2000 marine devices.
Through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal, users can monitor, control, and configure the entire system remotely from any internet-connected device. The built-in WiFi access point enables direct local access via the VictronConnect app or Remote Console without the need for a router. Advanced users can extend system automation using Node-RED flows directly on the device, while marine users benefit from full NMEA 2000 integration and MFD glass bridge app support.
Optimised for flush panel or blind hole mounting with all necessary hardware included, the Ekrano GX is suitable for off-grid, marine, RV, and professional energy system installations requiring a high-performance, all-in-one GX monitoring and control solution.
Features
Built-In 7-Inch Waterproof Touchscreen Display
The integrated 7-inch touchscreen (1024 × 600 pixels, 1000 cd/m² peak brightness) provides immediate system-wide visibility and control. Dynamic backlight dimming via a built-in ambient light sensor adjusts brightness automatically, with a timer for scheduled auto on/off and a recessed rear button to lock the touch function against unauthorised use.
Most Powerful GX Device — Quad-Core Processor
Powered by a quad-core processor running the latest Venus OS, the Ekrano GX handles all connected Victron products and a wide range of third-party devices simultaneously without performance compromise — supporting up to 25 VE.Direct devices and multiple VE.Can and VE.Bus products concurrently.
Comprehensive Communication Port Range
Equipped with 3 isolated VE.Direct ports, 1 isolated VE.Bus port (2 × RJ45), 2 VE.Can ports (isolated and non-isolated), Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth Smart, 2 × USB-A host ports, and a MicroSD card slot — providing connectivity to virtually every Victron product and a broad ecosystem of supported third-party devices.
VRM Remote Monitoring and Remote Console
Full remote monitoring, control, and configuration of the entire system is available via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal, with the same Remote Console interface accessible over local LAN or the device's built-in WiFi access point — allowing complete system management from anywhere in the world.
NMEA 2000 and MFD Integration
Full NMEA 2000 marine industry standard integration enables the Ekrano GX to interface with glass bridge Multi-Functional Displays, making it ideal for advanced marine installations that require seamless integration between electrical system monitoring and vessel navigation displays.
Programmable Relays and IO
Two NO/NC programmable relays support functions including alarm relay, generator start/stop, tank pump, and temperature-controlled relay. Three resistive tank level inputs, two temperature sense inputs, and two digital inputs (supporting open/closed alarm monitoring and pulse counting) complete the IO capability.
Node-RED Automation Support
Advanced system automation is possible directly on the Ekrano GX using Node-RED, the browser-based low-code flow editor built into Venus OS — enabling custom automation rules, triggers, and integrations without external hardware or programming expertise.
Flexible Flush or Blind Hole Mounting
The Ekrano GX installs via a standard flush panel cut-out with all mounting hardware included — a steel bracket for flush mounting (IP54 front) and springs for blind hole mounting (IP31 front). Screw-on power and relay terminal blocks and a quick-release IO clamp simplify wiring and field servicing.
