Victron Orion 110/12-30A (360W) Isolated DC-DC Converter

The Victron Orion 110/12-30A is a fully isolated DC-DC converter that steps a nominal 110V input (60-140V range) down to a 12V output at up to 30A continuous current (360W), for telecom, industrial, and specialist vehicle systems running on a 110V DC supply. Galvanic isolation of over 400Vrms between input, output, and case keeps the two electrical systems fully separated, with a two-year warranty.

A remote on/off terminal eliminates the need for a high-current switch in the input wiring - the converter can be switched with a low-power switch or an external control signal such as an engine run/stop switch. Any number of units can be connected in parallel to increase available output current, and all models are short-circuit proof.

Temperature-controlled fan-assisted cooling sustains the converter's full rated output, with protection against overcurrent, overheating (via automatic output voltage reduction), reverse polarity (fuse plus reverse-connected diode), and overvoltage/load dump (varistor protection). The unit uses 6.3mm push-on flat blade connectors and an anodised aluminium casework.

Operating range is -20 to +40°C, with output derated linearly to 0A by 70°C. The unit uses screw terminals for its DC connections and carries IP43 protection when mounted with the terminals oriented downwards, making it suitable for engine rooms and other enclosed equipment spaces.
