Victron Energy Orion 24/12-70A Non-isolated DC-DC Converter

The Victron Orion 24/12-70A is a high-power, non-isolated DC-DC converter that steps a 24V input down to a 12V output at up to 70A continuous current (85A max), for large 12V loads run from a 24V system.

Output voltage is adjustable between 10-15V via potentiometer (factory set to 13.2V), so the unit can also be used as a battery charger - for example to charge a 12V starter or accessory battery in an otherwise 24V system. Units with adjustable output can be connected in parallel (up to five) to increase available output current.

A remote on/off port allows the converter to be switched from a distance with a low-power switch or an external control signal such as an engine run/stop switch, without needing a high-current switch in the main input wiring.

Temperature-controlled fan-assisted cooling keeps the unit running efficiently at full load, and the wide 18-35V DC input range maintains stable output across normal alternator and battery voltage fluctuations.
