The Victron Inverting Remote On-Off Cable (ASS030550120) is a purpose-built signal cable designed for Victron inverters and inverter/chargers whose remote control terminal requires an active pull-down signal to switch on — while the source signal (such as the load output of a BlueSolar MPPT charger or the Load Disconnect output of a VE.Bus BMS) turns high when switch-on is required. The cable inverts this logic, translating a high source signal into an active pull-down at the inverter's remote terminal to trigger the on state.
Compatible products include the discontinued Phoenix Inverter models 12/180, 24/180, 12/350, and 24/350 — as well as all Phoenix Inverters rated at 3 kVA and above, and all Multi, MultiPlus, and Quattro inverter/chargers — which all require an active pull-down on the remote terminal to switch on. This makes the Inverting Remote On-Off Cable an essential interface component in any system where one of these inverters or inverter/chargers is controlled by a BlueSolar MPPT load output or a VE.Bus BMS Load Disconnect output.
When used with a VE.Bus BMS, the cable allows the BMS to automatically switch off the inverter when the battery bank reaches a low cell voltage threshold — protecting the lithium battery from over-discharge. When used with a BlueSolar MPPT charger's load output, it allows the solar charger to control the inverter's operation based on battery state of charge thresholds configured in the MPPT — since the inverter must be connected directly to the battery and cannot be powered from the MPPT load output directly.
Rated to 70V maximum input and output, the Inverting Remote On-Off Cable is compatible across all standard Victron system voltages (12V, 24V, and 48V) and requires no configuration or additional components to operate.
Features
Inverts Source Signal Logic for Active Pull-Down Inverters
Translates a high source signal — such as the normally-high Load Disconnect output of the VE.Bus BMS or the load output of a BlueSolar MPPT charger — into an active pull-down at the inverter's remote control terminal, enabling reliable on/off control of inverters and inverter/chargers that require pull-down to switch on.
VE.Bus BMS Integration — Automatic Low Battery Shutdown
When wired between the Load Disconnect output of the VE.Bus BMS and the remote terminal of a compatible inverter or inverter/charger, the BMS automatically switches off the inverter when cell undervoltage is detected — protecting the lithium battery bank from damaging over-discharge without manual intervention.
BlueSolar MPPT Load Output Integration
Enables a BlueSolar MPPT charger's load output to control the on/off state of a compatible Phoenix, Multi, MultiPlus, or Quattro inverter via the remote terminal. Since the inverter must be connected to the battery rather than the MPPT load output, this cable converts the MPPT load control signal into the correct logic for the inverter's remote input.
Compatible with Phoenix Inverters 3 kVA and Above
All Phoenix Inverters rated at 3 kVA and above, and all Multi, MultiPlus, and Quattro inverter/charger models, require active pull-down on the remote terminal to switch on. The Inverting Remote On-Off Cable provides the required signal conversion for all of these products from any high/low control source.
Wide 70V Input and Output Voltage Rating
Rated to a maximum of 70V DC on both input and output, the cable is compatible with the full range of Victron system voltages — 12V, 24V, and 48V — without requiring voltage-specific variants, and with a minimum pull-down trigger threshold of approximately 6V.
Short-Circuit Proof Pull-Down Output
The active pull-down output is limited to approximately 30mA and is short-circuit proof, protecting both the cable and connected equipment from damage in the event of wiring faults during installation or operation.
Plug-and-Play — No Configuration Required
The cable connects directly between the source control output (VE.Bus BMS Load Disconnect or MPPT load output) and the remote on/off terminal of the inverter or inverter/charger — with no additional hardware, settings, or configuration required for immediate operation.
