The Victron M8 Circular Connector Male/Female 3 Pole Cable is a BMS communication extension cable designed to extend the M8 BMS signal cables between Victron Lithium Battery Smart batteries and a compatible SmallBMS or VE.Bus BMS — or between Lithium NG batteries and a compatible NG BMS. Available in 1m, 2m, 3m, and 5m lengths, each pack contains two cables, providing exactly the pair needed to daisy-chain an additional battery into a BMS communication network or to extend an existing BMS cable run where the standard battery BMS cable does not reach the BMS unit.

The M8 circular connector is the standard BMS communication interface on all Victron Lithium Battery Smart and Lithium NG batteries. The male connector on one end of the cable plugs into the female M8 port on the battery or the preceding cable in the chain, while the female connector on the other end accepts the next battery's male M8 BMS cable — enabling batteries to be daisy-chained in series along the BMS communication network regardless of the physical distance between batteries and the BMS.
