The Victron Phoenix Charger Control (REC010001110) is a dedicated remote control and monitoring panel for the Victron Phoenix Battery Charger range. Connecting to the charger via a standard UTP cable with RJ45 connectors, it provides LED indication of the current charge stage, output current adjustment to limit power drawn from the AC supply, and full access to battery charging parameter configuration — all from a remote panel location up to 100 metres from the charger unit itself.
The primary practical benefit of the Phoenix Charger Control is its ability to limit the charger's output current — and therefore the AC input current it draws — from a convenient remote location. This is particularly valuable in marine and RV installations where shore power or generator capacity is limited, and the charger's full output current would overload the available supply. By reducing the output current limit at the panel, the operator can balance charger demand against other connected AC loads without adjusting the charger's internal settings.
Five LED indicators on the panel display the current charge phase — Bulk, Absorption, Float, Recondition, and Low Battery (error) — providing an at-a-glance overview of charger operation without requiring access to the charger enclosure. LED brightness is automatically reduced at night by a built-in ambient light sensor, preventing the panel from becoming an unwanted light source in sleeping quarters or a darkened helm station. All battery charging parameters — including bulk current, absorption voltage, and float voltage — can be adjusted via the panel using the two push-buttons and rotary knob.
Certified to IEC 60335-1, the Phoenix Charger Control is suitable for use in European and international marine and vehicle installations. A standard UTP cable (not included) connects the panel to the charger's 8-pin modular RJ45 remote connector.
Features
Remote Output Current Adjustment — Shore Power and Generator Management
The output current limit of the Phoenix Charger can be adjusted directly from the panel — reducing the AC input current draw to prevent overloading a limited shore power connection or small generator, and allowing the operator to balance charging demand against other connected AC loads from a convenient remote location.
Five-LED Charge Stage Indication
Five LEDs indicate the current charge phase in real time — Bulk, Absorption, Float, Recondition, and Low Battery (error) — providing an immediate at-a-glance overview of charger operation without requiring access to the charger enclosure or any additional monitoring devices.
Full Battery Parameter Configuration
All key battery charging parameters — including bulk charge current, absorption voltage, and float voltage — can be viewed and adjusted from the panel using the two push-buttons and rotary adjustment knob, eliminating the need to open the charger enclosure for routine parameter changes.
Automatic LED Brightness Reduction at Night
A built-in ambient light sensor automatically reduces LED brightness in low-light or dark conditions — preventing the panel from becoming an unwanted light source in sleeping accommodation or a darkened helm station during overnight charging.
UTP Cable Connection — Up to 100 Metres
Connects to the Phoenix Charger's 8-pin modular RJ45 remote connector via a standard UTP (Ethernet) network cable — allowing the panel to be located up to 100 metres from the charger unit without signal degradation, using any standard straight-through Ethernet patch cable of the required length.
Compatible with All Phoenix Charger Models
Compatible with all Phoenix Battery Charger models — including the 12/30, 12/50, 24/16, and 24/25 variants — providing the same remote control and monitoring capability across the full Phoenix Charger range.
IEC 60335-1 Certified
Certified to IEC 60335-1 for household and similar electrical appliances safety — making the Phoenix Charger Control suitable for use in marine, RV, and off-grid installations in European and international markets.
