The Victron Phoenix Inverter 120V range is a family of professional-grade true sine wave inverters designed to power 120V AC equipment from 12V or 24V DC battery banks - suitable for marine, RV, vehicle, and off-grid applications. This listing covers five North American market models: the 12/800 VE.Direct NEMA 5-15R, the 24/800 VE.Direct NEMA 5-15R, the 12/1200 VE.Direct NEMA 5-15R, the 12/1200 VE.Direct NEMA GFCI, and the 12/3000 VE.Bus - representing both the compact VE.Direct standalone range and the larger VE.Bus scalable range in a single family overview.

The four VE.Direct models (800VA and 1200VA, 12V and 24V) are compact standalone inverters featuring a VE.Direct port for configuration and monitoring via VictronConnect - using a VE.Direct to USB cable for computer connection or a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle for wireless smartphone access. These models cannot be stacked or paralleled with other inverters. The 12/800 and 24/800 models are rated at 800VA with 650W continuous output and 1200W peak, while the 12/1200 models deliver 1200W continuous and 1600W peak. The NEMA 5-15R models include a standard 15A outlet, while the NEMA GFCI model includes a ground fault circuit interrupter outlet for applications requiring RCD protection. Unlike the VE.Direct models, it can be connected to a Digital Multi Control panel, VE.Bus Smart Dongle, or GX device for comprehensive monitoring, and can be configured in parallel with other VE.Bus Phoenix Inverters for higher combined output. The 12/3000 achieves 93% maximum efficiency and a no-load consumption of just 20W, with a remote on/off terminal for system integration.

All five models deliver a clean 120 VAC true sine wave output at 60 Hz, are short-circuit proof, and include overtemperature protection with automatic shutdown and restart. ECO mode on the VE.Direct models minimises idle power consumption to as low as 1W, while the 12/3000 VE.Bus achieves 20W no-load draw in normal operation.

SinusMax Hybrid HF Technology - True Sine Wave Output

All Phoenix Inverters deliver a clean 120 VAC true sine wave output at 60 Hz - suitable for all AC loads including sensitive electronics, motor-driven equipment, and appliances that require a clean sine wave supply. SinusMax hybrid HF technology provides very high peak surge power for difficult loads such as refrigeration compressors, electric motors, and switching power supplies.

VE.Direct Models - Configurable via VictronConnect App

The 800VA and 1200VA VE.Direct models include a VE.Direct port for full configuration and monitoring via VictronConnect - connected via a VE.Direct to USB cable (computer) or a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle (smartphone). All key parameters are configurable: low battery alarm and cut-off, dynamic cut-off, ECO mode sensitivity, output voltage, and output frequency.

NEMA 5-15R and NEMA GFCI Output Options

VE.Direct models are available with a standard NEMA 5-15R outlet (15A, non-GFCI) for general-purpose load connection, or with a NEMA GFCI outlet for applications requiring ground fault circuit interrupter protection - such as marine, bathroom, kitchen, or outdoor circuits where RCD protection is required by electrical code.

12V and 24V Input Options (800VA Models)

The 800VA VE.Direct NEMA 5-15R model is available in both a 12V input variant (9.2–17V DC) and a 24V input variant (18.4–34V DC) - allowing the correct model to be selected based on the system battery bank voltage without any other performance or feature difference between the two.

12/3000 VE.Bus - GX Device and Remote Panel Integration

The 12/3000 VE.Bus model connects to Victron GX monitoring devices, a Digital Multi Control panel, and a VE.Bus Smart Dongle for comprehensive system monitoring and control. A remote on/off terminal enables system-level on/off switching, and the 12/3000 supports parallel operation with other VE.Bus Phoenix Inverters for higher combined output.

VE.Direct Standalone Models Cannot Be Paralleled

The VE.Direct 800VA and 1200VA models are standalone inverters and cannot be stacked, paralleled, or used in three-phase configurations. Only VE.Bus Phoenix Inverter models support parallel and phase-stacking operation via VE.Bus communication.
