The Victron Energy SmartShunt IP65 is an all-in-one battery monitor that delivers high-precision tracking without the clutter of a dedicated physical display. Instead, your smartphone or tablet acts as the screen. By connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth to the free VictronConnect App, you can instantly monitor crucial battery parameters, including State of Charge (SoC), time-to-go, voltage, real-time current draw, and extensive historical usage data.

With its IP65 water-resistant rating, this version of the SmartShunt is specifically engineered to withstand harsh, wet, or dusty environments—making it the ultimate choice for marine engine rooms, outdoor battery boxes, off-grid installations, and open-air automotive setups.

Because the shunt itself carries no display, all setup and day-to-day monitoring happen in the free VictronConnect app, which also stores a long-term history of deep discharges, charge cycles, and voltage alarms for tracking battery health over time. A built-in relay can be programmed to trigger an alarm, start a generator, or shed non-essential loads automatically based on State of Charge, voltage, or a user-defined alarm condition.

An auxiliary input adds further flexibility beyond basic monitoring: it can track the voltage of a second battery such as an engine starter bank, measure the temperature of the battery using an optional sensor, or monitor midpoint voltage to catch a weakening cell before it damages the rest of the bank. Two supply cables with inline fuses are included, and the compact IP65 housing mounts directly to the negative battery terminal alongside the shunt itself.
