The Victron SmartSolar Control Pluggable Display (SCC900650010) is an optional LCD display accessory designed to plug directly into the front face of compatible Victron SmartSolar and BlueSolar MPPT solar charge controllers. Providing real-time monitoring of solar system performance and full access to charger settings without requiring a smartphone, app, or GX device, it is an ideal local display solution for installations where direct panel-level visibility of charge controller data is preferred or required.
Installation is straightforward: remove the two screws and plastic cover marked "display option" on the front of the solar charger, remove the two plastic plugs flanking the display socket, apply the included double-sided tape backing, insert the display into the socket, and secure it with the same two screws. The display is hot-swappable - it can be plugged in or removed while the solar charger is operating - making it equally suitable as a permanent installation display or as a temporary diagnostic and configuration tool used across multiple controllers on site.
The LCD display shows live data including battery voltage, charge current, charge power, PV voltage, PV current, PV power, battery and charger temperatures, charge stage (Bulk, Absorption, Float), load output state, warnings, and error codes. Historical data is accessible for the previous 30 days - including daily PV yield, maximum and minimum battery voltage, time spent in each charge stage, and maximum PV power - as well as cumulative lifetime totals since the last history reset.
Three front-panel buttons (SELECT, SETUP, and +/−) enable intuitive navigation through live readings, historical data, and the full settings menu - allowing all solar charger parameters to be viewed and adjusted directly from the display without any additional hardware. Auto scroll mode cycles through all live readings every five seconds when activated.
Features
Plugs Directly into Compatible SmartSolar and BlueSolar MPPT Controllers
The display connects to the dedicated display terminal on the front face of compatible SmartSolar MPPT 150/45 up to 250/100, SmartSolar MPPT VE.Can 150/70 up to 250/100, and BlueSolar MPPT VE.Can 150/70 up to 250/100 charge controllers - identifiable by the "display option" plastic cover on the front panel.
Hot-Swappable - Permanent or Temporary Use
The display can be inserted or removed while the solar charger is operating, making it equally suitable for permanent panel mounting or as a portable diagnostic tool that can be moved between controllers on site without powering down the system.
Real-Time Live Data Monitoring
Displays live readings including battery voltage, charge current, charge power, PV voltage, PV current, PV power, battery temperature, charger temperature, charge stage (Bulk, Absorption, Float), load output state and current, connection indicator, and warning and error codes.
30-Day Historical Data and Cumulative Totals
Historical data for the previous 30 days is accessible including daily PV yield, daily maximum and minimum battery voltage, daily maximum PV power, daily maximum battery current, daily time in Bulk, Absorption, and Float, and the last four daily error codes - plus cumulative lifetime PV yield and maximum PV voltage since the last history reset.
Full Charger Settings Configuration
All solar charger settings - including charger on/off, maximum charge current, system voltage, charge algorithm, absorption and float voltage, equalisation settings, temperature compensation, and display brightness - can be viewed and adjusted directly from the display via the three-button navigation interface.
Auto Scroll Mode
Pressing the + and − buttons simultaneously for four seconds activates auto scroll mode, which cycles through all live status readings every five seconds - providing a self-updating at-a-glance system overview without manual button navigation.
Powered from the Solar Charger - No External Power Required
The display draws its power directly from the solar charger via the display connector - no separate power supply, cable, or wiring is required. The display powers up when either battery voltage or PV voltage exceeds 6V, and goes dark when both sources are below this threshold.
Low Temperature Operation Note
LCD segments may appear faint at ambient temperatures below −10°C and can become invisible below −20°C. This is a normal characteristic of liquid crystal display technology and does not indicate a fault with the unit.
