Victron Li SuperPack 12.8/20Ah

The Victron Lithium SuperPack is an all-in-one, ready-to-install LiFePO₄ lithium battery range designed as a direct drop-in replacement for lead-acid batteries in marine, RV, off-grid, and recreational vehicle applications. Available in five variants — 12.8V/20Ah, 12.8V/60Ah, 12.8V/100Ah (HC), 12.8V/200Ah, and 25.6V/50Ah — each battery incorporates a fully integrated Battery Management System and safety switch, requiring no external BMS, relay, or protection hardware. Simply connect and charge — no additional components needed.

The integrated BMS continuously monitors each cell for overvoltage, undervoltage, over-temperature, and under-temperature conditions, automatically disconnecting the battery from the charge or discharge circuit when any threshold is exceeded. For serial numbers HQ2040 and later, charging is automatically blocked when cell temperature drops below 0°C ± 3°C — protecting the cells from cold-temperature charge damage — and resumes automatically when the temperature rises above 3°C ± 3°C. Discharge protection activates below −20°C ± 3°C.

LiFePO₄ chemistry delivers a round-trip energy efficiency of 92% — compared to 80% for lead-acid — and does not suffer from the sulfation and partial-state-of-charge damage that limits lead-acid battery service life. The SuperPack batteries are rated for 2,500 cycles to 80% DoD at 25°C, with capacity loss of less than 1% per 100 cycles. All five variants can be connected in unlimited parallel to increase total energy capacity — series connection is not supported.

All SuperPack batteries can be mounted upright or on their longest side (except the 200Ah which must not be laid with the positive terminal facing down). IP43 protection ensures reliable performance in marine, RV, and off-grid environments with exposure to moisture and splash.

Features

Fully Integrated BMS and Safety Switch — No External Components Required

The internal BMS and safety switch provide complete cell-level protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, over-temperature, and under-temperature — automatically disconnecting the battery when any limit is exceeded. No external BMS, relay, fuse holder, or contactor is required for safe operation.

Automatic Cold-Temperature Charge Protection (HQ2040 and Later)

From serial number HQ2040 onwards, charging is automatically blocked when cell temperature drops below 0°C ± 3°C — preventing cell damage during cold-weather charging. Charging resumes automatically when temperature rises above 3°C ± 3°C. Discharge protection activates below −20°C ± 3°C.

2,500 Cycles at 80% DoD — Less Than 1% Capacity Loss per 100 Cycles

Rated for 2,500 full cycles to 80% depth of discharge at 25°C, with capacity loss of less than 1% per 100 cycles — providing dramatically longer service life than lead-acid or AGM batteries under equivalent cycling conditions.

92% Round-Trip Efficiency

LiFePO₄ chemistry delivers 92% round-trip energy efficiency from full charge to full discharge and back — compared to 80% for average lead-acid batteries, and as low as 50% for lead-acid batteries operating under shallow discharge conditions typical in solar applications.

Abuse Proof — No Sulfation, No Full Charge Required

Unlike lead-acid batteries, LiFePO₄ batteries do not suffer from sulfation under partial state-of-charge operation and do not require periodic full charge cycles to maintain capacity. Service life slightly improves under partial charge conditions — making the SuperPack ideal for solar and off-grid installations where full recharge is not always possible.

Unlimited Parallel Connection

Any number of SuperPack batteries of the same voltage can be connected in parallel to increase total energy capacity without additional hardware — scaling from a single unit to a large battery bank. Series connection is not supported.

Flexible Mounting Positions

All SuperPack variants can be mounted upright or on their longest side — with the exception that the 200Ah model must not be laid on the long side where the positive terminal faces down. This flexibility simplifies installation in confined spaces in vessels, vehicles, and enclosures.

IP43 Protection

Rated IP43 for protection against solid particles larger than 1mm and water spray up to 60° from vertical — suitable for installation in marine battery compartments, RV storage bays, and outdoor enclosures where moisture exposure is possible.
