The Victron Energy LiFePO4 12.8V/200Ah NG is a next-generation lithium iron phosphate battery delivering 2560Wh of nominal energy at 12.8V, designed for demanding off-grid, marine, RV, and professional energy storage applications. Supporting continuous discharge up to 200A (1C) and peak pulse discharge up to 400A (2C) for 10 seconds, it provides substantial capacity and high-current capability in a single battery — making it an effective standalone house battery or a scalable building block for larger 12V, 24V, and 48V systems.
The Lithium NG series represents a significant advancement over the Lithium Smart series, incorporating an integrated shunt that transmits real-time battery voltage, current, and temperature data directly to the Battery Management System. The BMS — a Lynx Smart BMS NG 500A or 1000A, purchased separately — uses this data to calculate state of charge, generate pre-alarms when any cell voltage falls below 3.0V, disconnect loads when any cell falls below 2.8V, and stop charging when any cell exceeds 3.6V or when temperature moves outside the safe operating range. Battery firmware is automatically updated by the BMS without any manual intervention.
Up to 50 Lithium NG batteries can be connected per Lynx Smart BMS NG, and up to 5 BMS units can be paralleled — enabling energy storage banks of up to 192 kWh at 12V from a single coordinated system. Batteries can be connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel combinations to build 12V, 24V, or 48V systems. The BMS automatically detects system voltage and the number of batteries connected in any configuration, eliminating manual setup and reducing the risk of commissioning errors in complex multi-battery installations.
Monitoring and control are managed through the VictronConnect app via Bluetooth built into the BMS, through a Victron GX communication device, or remotely via the VRM Online Portal. Cell voltages, battery current, temperatures, and state of charge are all visible in real time. The battery's IP65-rated enclosure provides full protection against dust and low-pressure water jets, and the battery can be mounted upright or on its side using the included mounting brackets or an optional strap — making it adaptable to a wide range of installation environments.
With a round-trip efficiency of 92%, a self-discharge rate of no more than 3% per month at 25°C, and a cycle life of 2500 cycles at 80% DoD and 5000 cycles at 50% DoD with less than 1% capacity loss per 100 cycles, the Victron LiFePO4 12.8V/200Ah NG is engineered for long-term performance in professional energy systems. Certified to UL1973, UL9540A, and IEC62619 at the cell level, IEC62620 for performance, and automotive ECE R10-6.

Integrated Shunt for Accurate BMS Data
An integrated shunt continuously measures and transmits battery voltage, current, and temperature to the Lynx Smart BMS NG, enabling accurate state of charge calculation, real-time cell monitoring, and precise alarm and protection triggering — without requiring a separate external battery monitor or current sensor in the system.
Automatic BMS Configuration — Series, Parallel and Series/Parallel
The Lynx Smart BMS NG automatically detects the system voltage and the number of batteries connected in any series, parallel, or series-parallel combination. Up to 50 batteries can be managed per BMS, with up to 5 BMS units paralleled for system energy storage up to 192 kWh at 12V — with no manual configuration required.
High Continuous and Pulse Discharge Capability
The 12.8V/200Ah NG supports a maximum continuous discharge current of 200A (1C) and a peak pulse discharge of 400A (2C) for 10 seconds, enabling it to sustain heavy inverter loads and absorb large motor startup surges from bow thrusters, windlasses, and high-power inverters without voltage instability.
Comprehensive BMS Cell Protection
The Lynx Smart BMS NG generates a pre-alarm when any cell voltage falls below 3.0V, disconnects loads when any cell falls below 2.8V, and stops charging when any cell exceeds 3.6V or when temperature moves outside the safe range — providing full multi-layer protection for all cells in the battery and any batteries connected in parallel or series.
Monitoring via VictronConnect, GX Device and VRM Portal
Bluetooth built into the Lynx Smart BMS NG enables real-time monitoring of cell voltages, battery current, temperature, and state of charge via the VictronConnect app. When connected to a Victron GX device with internet access, all data is also available on the VRM Online Portal for remote monitoring and alarm management from anywhere.
Exceptional Cycle Life — Up to 5000 Cycles
LiFePO4 chemistry delivers 2500 cycles at 80% DoD, 3000 cycles at 70% DoD, and 5000 cycles at 50% DoD at 25°C, with capacity and energy loss of less than 1% per 100 cycles — providing dramatically longer service life than lead-acid or other lithium chemistries with minimal degradation over the battery's operational lifetime.
IP65-Rated with Flexible Mounting Options
The IP65-rated enclosure provides full protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the battery suitable for demanding marine, RV, and outdoor off-grid environments. Included mounting brackets and optional strap mounting allow installation upright or on the battery's side to suit a wide range of available spaces and panel layouts.
Automatic Firmware Updates via BMS
Battery firmware is automatically updated by the Lynx Smart BMS NG — either through the VictronConnect app or, when a GX device with internet access is present, via the VRM portal. No manual firmware management is required, and any additional batteries added to the system later are automatically updated to the current firmware version by the BMS.
