Mabru

Mabru builds marine air conditioners that run directly on DC power, so you can cool the cabin at anchor from batteries and solar without starting a generator. eMarine carries Mabru 12VDC air conditioning in 5K, 7K and 12K BTU with a 12VDC pump included, the 12K BTU RadAir rooftop unit, and a 17K BTU 110-230VAC unit, all with both cooling and heating.

How to choose a Mabru air conditioner

Size the BTU rating to the cabin volume, insulation and climate; larger saloons in hot regions need more capacity. Then check your power budget: a DC air conditioner draws from the house bank, so plan battery capacity, solar and charging to match the hours you expect to run it. Choose a self-contained unit with raw-water pump for below-deck installation, or the rooftop RadAir where a hatch-mounted unit suits the boat better.

Can a 12V air conditioner run from batteries?

Yes. Mabru DC units are designed to run from a 12V house bank. Runtime depends on battery capacity and charging; see marine batteries.

Do you carry other marine air conditioners?

Yes. Compare Mabru with Dometic, Velair and Termodinamica in marine air conditioners.
